November Monthly WinnersHere we are, the end of the Race. Bitter sweet indeed.
Bitter. It’s been tough for our Panel of Judges, going through a large number of observations that have been submitted within the last 19 days. Sweet. The quality of competing images have been raised to another level! On behalf of the Judges, we are happy to announce the winners for Month 3. Congratulations to all participants who fought until the end. Regardless of the results, all of you are champions! Bravo and Well Done to the Winners, for their outstanding images for Best Photo and for the most number of species observed in Month 3 of the Race. Best Photos of the MonthHonorable MentionsSeptember Monthly WinnersCongratulations to all Racers, for completing Month 1 of the Race! A total of 573 observations were uploaded to ‘The International Bornean Frog Race 2021’ project, on iNaturalist. Thanks for participating this month and keep up with the amazing observations of Bornean amphibians! Most Number of SpeciesOf the around 190 species known from Borneo, a total 82 species were observed by participants of the Race in September. Congratulations to those who made it to the Top 5 and are the winners of the category “The Most Number of Species” for the month of September 2021. Best Photos of the Month We proudly present the Five Winning Monthly Images. Congratulations to the photographers! Honorable Mentions Due to the large number of excellent photo submissions, it was difficult for the judges to narrow down the top 5 for the month of September. Many other photos, such as these, nearly made the cut, and were also deemed exceptional for their portrayal of Bornean amphibians. Some factors that may have affected the judges' considerations include sharpness, exposure, color balance, and other minor issues.
